A lot of single word bursts with nice open vowels. Mostly mid screams.

Northlane – Quantum Flux
Small word clusters with open vowels. Very moderate tempo.
(the song isn’t in a straight 4/4 time signature at times so it may be a little disorienting at first)

Medium:
Throwdown – Forever
A lot of lyrics with more harsh and closed vowels.
Mostly mid screams. Breath control becomes super important here

Advanced:
Suicide Silence – Unanswered

This song requires both good breath control, quick articulation of lyrics, and as the ability to switch between highs, lows and gutturals. In short, this song has everything. If you can scream this song, you can pretty much fry scream your way through anything.

False Cord screams

Beginner:
Arch Enemy – Nemesis

Short word bursts. These vocal lines were written to accommodate the false cord vocal style!

Emmure – 10 Signs You Should Leave
Mix of faster patterns as well as switching between lows and highs! Super fun!

Advanced:
Road Runner United – Annihilation By The Hands Of God

This is pretty much a marathon of breath control and it feels like your mouth is open for 5 minutes and 30 seconds straight. If you can pull this song off, then you have mastered the balance between projection and conservation of air.
